Marie undertook her Registered Nurse training in Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry, Northern Ireland before moving to London to take up her first Staff Nurse post at St Thomas' Hospital. Over the next few years Marie worked at the Brompton Hospital, the Middlesex Hospital and Guys Hospital before moving to north London to Barnet Hospital.

Specialising in critical care and gaining promotion to become a Sister in Intensive Care whilst at Barnet, Marie then moved to a 'corporate role' to shape nursing practice and patient care across Barnet Hospital and Edgware Hospital. The next few years saw her do further academic study and start her family.

In 2005 Marie moved to The Hillingdon Hospital as the Deputy Director of Nursing. She attained her directors role within the next two years and says it's the best job she has ever done.

Marie is interested in infection control, involving patients and the public and she volunteers within her own parish in Hertfordshire.

Marie is obviously a dedicated nurse and an asset to her chosen profession and the hospital. Seen her on a previous video about Bevan Ward. What new of that project?
